**Overview**

The SAP Basis Administrator will work within the Software Engineering team in IT and be based within the SAP squad. Reporting to the Squad Lead for daily work, the Basis administrator will be expected to contribute to the delivery of high-quality products. You should have experience of the full development lifecycle.

Knowledge of Oracle Database and Windows Servers

Proven experience of administering and supporting SAP landscape including installation and configuration

Thorough understanding of SAP ECC, NetWeaver, Solution Manager and SAP Router configuration

Blend of experience between projects and support/maintenance of SAP systems

Understand SAP transport process and willing to work out of hours.

Understand Oracle Disaster recovery process.

Understand integration between SAP and third-party systems.

Documentation

Participate in daily stand ups.

- Works with other members of the SAP Squad on relevant tasks using skills and knowledge to help to determine, direct and undertake activities.

People Leadership
- Work with the wider team to assist in the creation of solutions that meet requirement.
- Provide answers to technical questions.
- Actively participate in Squad stand-ups.

Governance & Risk
- Work with colleagues to ensure that designs and solutions are in line with standards and follow governance.
- Support the Squad Lead to identify any areas of risk.

- SPS (Support Package Stack) installation
- SPAU & SPDD (Support Package Adjust Utility and Support Package Data Dictionary)
- System and Client Copy
- Experience of SUM (Software Update Manager) and SPM (Software Provisioning Manager)
- Transports including TOC (Transport of Copies)
- SAP GUI Installation and configuration
- SAP Solution Manager 7.2
- Early Watch Reports - including analysis
- SAP Note Installation including TCI (Technical Correction Instructions)
