Housekeeping Associate

The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest rooms, public areas, and other hotel facilities. This role ensures that guests experience a comfortable and sanitary environment throughout their stay. The Housekeeping Associate works to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and service while following hotel policies and safety guidelines.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Guest Room Cleaning & Maintenance**:

- Clean and prepare guest rooms according to the hotel’s established standards.
- Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and toiletries.
- Vacuum carpets, dust furniture, and wipe down surfaces (e.g., mirrors, windowsills, desks, TV stands).
- Ensure all amenities in guest rooms are properly stocked and in good condition (e.g., shampoo, soap, toilet paper, etc.).
- Report any maintenance issues or damaged items to the housekeeping supervisor or maintenance team.
- **Public Area Cleaning**:

- Maintain cleanliness in public spaces such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and elevators.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, and clean windows, furniture, and other surfaces in public areas.
- Ensure the cleanliness of hotel facilities, including meeting rooms, dining areas, and recreational areas.
- **Laundry Duties**:

- Collect, sort, and deliver linens and towels to and from the laundry facility.
- Fold and store clean linens, towels, and other laundry items in designated areas.
- Ensure proper handling of linens and laundry to prevent damage.
- **Guest Requests & Special Needs**:

- Respond to guest requests for extra towels, amenities, or other room-related services.
- Ensure any special guest requirements (e.g., extra bedding, hypoallergenic products) are met promptly.
- **Inventory Management**:

- Assist with inventory control by reporting low stock or damage to cleaning supplies and guest amenities.
- Ensure housekeeping carts and cleaning supplies are stocked and maintained for efficiency.
- **Safety & Hygiene**:

- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Properly use cleaning chemicals and equipment, following safety guidelines to prevent accidents.
- Maintain the overall safety and hygiene standards of all guest rooms and public spaces.
- **Collaboration & Communication**:

- Work closely with other housekeeping staff and hotel departments to ensure smooth operations and high guest satisfaction.
- Communicate with the housekeeping supervisor to update on room status, maintenance needs, or guest concerns.
- **Reporting & Record Keeping**:

- Maintain accurate records of room status (cleaned, not cleaned, under maintenance, etc.).
- Report any lost and found items to the housekeeping supervisor or security according to hotel policies.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel or similar setting is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 25 lbs.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and chemicals used in hotel housekeeping.
- Basic understanding of safety and sanitation procedures.

**Working Conditions**:

- Full-time or part-time position, with shifts that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to perform physical work such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods of time.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and varying indoor temperatures

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹14,000.00 per month
