Housekeeping Trainee

**Job Title**: Housekeeping Trainee**Job Summary**:
The Housekeeping Trainee assists in maintaining cleanliness and order in guest rooms, public areas, and other hotel facilities under the guidance of senior housekeeping staff. The trainee will learn the fundamentals of housekeeping, develop skills for maintaining cleanliness, and ensure that the hotel provides a comfortable and welcoming environment for guests.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Room Cleaning**: Assist with the cleaning and sanitizing of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and replenishing amenities.
- **Public Area Maintenance**: Help maintain cleanliness in public spaces, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and meeting rooms.
- **Laundry Assistance**: Assist in the laundry department by folding linens, towels, and other items, ensuring they are in excellent condition.
- **Inventory Management**: Assist in monitoring and managing housekeeping supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and reporting shortages to supervisors.
- **Guest Requests**: Respond to guest requests for additional linens, toiletries, or other items, and deliver these items to their rooms.
- **Safety and Sanitation**: Adhere to safety and sanitation standards in all tasks, ensuring a safe environment for both guests and staff.
- **Equipment Handling**: Learn to properly use and maintain housekeeping equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and cleaning tools.
- **Training and Development**: Participate in on-the-job training and shadowing of senior housekeeping staff to develop cleaning skills, efficiency, and techniques.
- **Feedback and Improvement**: Receive feedback from supervisors and use it to improve job performance and quality of work.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- **Experience**: No prior experience required. This position is designed for individuals looking to gain experience and training in the hospitality industry.
- **Skills**:

- Good attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills.
- Physical stamina to handle cleaning tasks, including standing for long periods and lifting objects.
- **Physical Requirements**: Ability to lift and carry items (up to 25 lbs), bend, squat, and perform other physically demanding tasks as needed.

**Working Conditions**:

- Shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
