**TGT Dance Teacher - Job Description**

**Position**: (TGT) - Dance Teacher
**Location**: Kanha Makhan Millennium School, Mathura
**Department**: Performing Arts
**Reporting To**: Principal / Head of Department

**Salary**: 15 to 20k in hand

**Job Summary**:
The TGT Dance Teacher will be responsible for teaching dance to students from [6th to 10th], fostering creativity, discipline, and an appreciation for performing arts. The role involves planning and delivering engaging dance lessons, choreographing performances, and preparing students for competitions and events.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Teaching & Lesson Planning**:

- Develop and implement dance lesson plans aligned with the curriculum.
- Teach various dance forms, including classical, folk, contemporary, and western styles.
- Conduct theory and practical sessions to enhance students' understanding of dance.
- Encourage creativity, expression, and confidence in students through dance activities.

**Choreography & Event Participation**:

- Choreograph and train students for school events, annual functions, and competitions.
- Organize and conduct dance workshops and cultural programs.
- Collaborate with other faculty members for interdisciplinary performances.

**Student Engagement & Assessment**:

- Assess students’ progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify and nurture talent, encouraging students to participate in dance competitions.
- Maintain discipline and ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.

**Administrative & Professional Development**:

- Maintain records of students’ attendance, performance, and achievements.
- Stay updated with new trends in dance education and participate in professional development programs.
- Work closely with school management, parents, and other stakeholders to promote performing arts.

**Required Qualifications & Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Dance / Performing Arts or a relevant field.
- B.Ed. degree (preferred, but not mandatory).
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in a school setting.
- Proficiency in various dance forms with strong choreography skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for teaching and mentoring students.

**Preferred Attributes**:

- Experience in organizing and managing cultural events.
- Ability to integrate music, costumes, and stage elements into performances.
- Enthusiasm for promoting dance as an essential part of holistic education.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
