Import/export Intern

**Position Overview**

As an Import/Export Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting our international trade operations. You will gain hands-on experience in import and export processes, logistics, compliance, and documentation. This internship will provide valuable insights into the global business landscape and the complexities of cross-border trade. You will work closely with our import/export team, learning from experienced professionals in the field.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Documentation Management**: Assist in preparing and organizing import and export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and customs declarations.

2. **Compliance Assistance**: Support the import/export team in adhering to relevant trade regulations, tariffs, and customs laws to ensure smooth and legal transactions.

3. **Logistics Coordination**: Assist with coordinating shipments, tracking cargo, and liaising with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to ensure timely delivery of goods.

4. **Market Research**: Conduct research on international markets, trade policies, and tariffs to identify potential opportunities and risks for the company's import/export activities.

5. **Data Analysis**: Help analyse import/export data and trends to optimize supply chain efficiency and identify areas for improvement.

6. **Communication**:Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure effective communication regarding shipment status, documentation requirements, and regulatory changes.

7. **Risk Management**: Assist in identifying and mitigating potential risks related to international trade, such as currency fluctuations, geopolitical issues, and compliance challenges.

8. **Inventory Management**: Support inventory control processes related to imported and exported goods.

9. **Assist in Trade Shows and Exhibitions**: Participate in trade shows and exhibitions to represent the company and explore potential business opportunities.

**Requirements**:

- **Education**:Must have a degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
- **Strong Analytical Skills**: Ability to analyse data, identify patterns, and draw actionable insights.
- **Communication**:Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in English is required, and additional language skills are a plus.
- **Attention to Detail**: Meticulous in handling documentation and ensuring compliance with import/export regulations.
- **Adaptability**:Willingness to learn and adapt to changing trade laws, regulations, and business practices.
- **Team Player**: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and work as part of a team.
- **Passion for International Trade**: A genuine interest in global trade and a desire to contribute to the success of the company's import/export activities.

**Duration and Compensation**:

- This is a paid internship program.
- The duration of the internship will be **3 Months**, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.
