**Reports to**: IoT Platform Operations Manager

**Qualification**: B.E (Information Systems, Computer Engineering and Technology)

**Job Overview as a Cloud Operations Engineer**:
**Responsibilities**:

- The Cloud Operations engineer shall be responsible to maintain multitude of cloud platforms including AWS.
- Maintain 24x7x365 Global operations center which provides eyes
- on
- Work in rotation of any one shift (morning/afternoon/night) for 5 continuous days followed by 2 days off including Saturday, Sunday.
- Provide support for 1st (L1) and 2nd (L2) line Cloud Operations team.
- Monitor Infrastructure using available tools and processes.
- Monitor Applications using available tools and alerts.
- Focusing on proactive issue prevention and root cause resolution.
- Understand the Incidents process to minimize service disruption duration.
- Actively manage established Incident, Problem, Change and Service Request fulfillment processes based on ITIL framework Perform remediation actions for known alerts by following established SOPs.
- Adherence to key metrics, processes, workflow and tracking incidents against strict SLAs.
- Ensure adherence to Service Levels Agreements for both response and resolution times
- Escalate as appropriate to right levels to ensure timely issue resolution
- Strictly adhere to Whirlpool operational procedures, policies, reporting and escalation standards
- Maintain internal documentation and runbooks creation covering all aspects of team activities
- High-level knowledge about key security concepts such as firewalls
- Identify opportunity areas to automate manual operations.

**Must Have**:

- Handson experience of database systems such as MongoDB. SQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc.Web Services (SOAP & REST), PHP (Using the CakePHP framework), Javascript, HTML/CSS), Interoperability Standards(JSON, API Mgmt, XML)
- Basic understanding of Microservices, ESB and any app server.
- Comprehensive knowledge of networking concepts such as IP addresses, DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, CDN, API gateways and VPN
- Experience working with CI & automation tools like Jenkins, Github, Docker / Kubernetes, Cloudfront, Terraform.
- Good experience on reading and interpreting testing report and debugging using tools like Postman, Charles, Kibana, Log DNA
- Extensive experience in AWS IOT Core, EKS, MSK, EC2, ESB, EFS, IAM, SNS, Route53, NLB, ALB, S3, CW, DynamoDB, RDS
- Strong in building build pipelines using Jenkins with Groovy, python
- Automate existing manual job monitoring processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Experience in working with global stakeholders, and cross regions
