Position : Chemist

Location : Surjagarh (Nagpur)

Purpose of the position:
A dynamic person with knowledge of Chemistry and able to analyse all the allocated Laboratory samples by we Chemistry or Instrumental technique. Also, to ensure proper documented reporting of the findings in the specified format. Exposure to plant work and coordination will be an additional benefit

MUST HAVE A KNOWLEDGE OF METAL AND MINERALS.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsibility for testing the assigned samples

Able to analyse Coal and Coke samples as per Indian and International standard e.g. Ash, VM. Moisture, S,

GCV etc. Able to handle all type of Instrument associated with the coal analysis.

Able to understand the sample preparation of coal and Coke as per Indian and International standard

Other commodity analysis knowledge like Iron Ore, Sugar, Mill Scale, Pet Coke, Bauxite, Fertilizer, Ferro

Alloys. Limestone and dolomite etc.

Responsibility for performance checking of instruments of their specific area of activities

Responsibility to record data of environmental condition and daily checking of Instruments as per the

organisation and NABL protocol

Responsible to demonstrate the competence of analysis as per the test method to external customers and

Auditors

Responsibility to complete the test as per the agreed TAT

Responsibility to train the trainee chemist and Lab assistant/Samplers etc.

Ready to relocate as per the organisation requirement to the plant LAB.

Good communication skill and reporting skill

Knowledge and skill to handle MS office specially excel and word.

Responsible to understand the basic process of sampling and sample preparation

Responsible to prepare reagent and solutions needed for analysis

Responsible for verification and maintenance of the Instrument used for analysis

Responsible to inform the chemical and consumables stocks for indent purpose

Comply with local legal requirements as well as the applicable group HSE policies, procedures and their

requirements

Able to work in shift duty and late hours in case of any need

Take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves, their colleagues and others and promptly

reporting any short comings (any unsafe work practice or condition and opportunities of HSE practices) to his

immediate manager

Understanding of NABL (ISO 17025) requirements

Desired Minimum Qualifications: B.Sc. with Chemistry

Experience: Minimum 2 Years to 5 years on similar role in Third Party Lab or plant LAB

Desired Personality Profile: Hard working, flexibility, Time management, Team player, learning ability, problem

solving skill

Desired Technical Skills: Good knowledge of Chemistry, Technical ability to handle Laboratory Instruments,

Understanding of Basic algebraic and chemistry calculations.

**Salary**: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
