Responsibilities - Participate in department projects and initiatives pertaining to Paediatric preventive Care plan as per AAP & IAP.
- Participate in parental counseling relating to child growth and health (primarily focused on 0-5 years) - e.g
**. **Weaning counseling’s - 6 months, 9 months, 1 year
**.** Toilet training - 18 months
**.** Injury prevention 9 months, 18 months, 5 years
- Conduct and facilitate screening tests on children - e.g
**.**Vision screen
**.**Hemoglobin assessment screen (by prick)
- Be aware and able to offer guidance on breast feeding issues - Lactation Counseling
**.** Undertake teaching training activities for all healthcare staff i.e Nurses, Baby Care Assistants involved in Breast feeding support services.
**.** Participate in BFHI accreditation related activities including record keeping
- Undertake certification Training Course as per BPNI to upskill self as Lactation Counselor.
- Assessment of developmental milestones of children.
- Undertake, record keeping - data interpretation, analysis to improve services.
- Engage in Parent Education activities.
- You will also be required to perform any other related task as assigned to you by your supervisor.
- Qualifications and Experience - Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition.
- A minimum experience of 4 years as a Child Health Educator
- Basic computer literacy.
- Working experience of EMR/ HIS is a plus.
