**Primary Roles and Responsibilities**:

- **Machine Setup**:

- Install and align tools, fixtures, and materials on CNC turning machines.
- Load CNC programs and input necessary machine parameters.
- **Read Engineering Drawings**:

- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders for dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes.
- **Tool Selection and Offset Adjustment**:

- Choose appropriate cutting tools and insert types.
- Adjust tool offsets and cutting conditions for accurate machining.
- **Machine Calibration and Inspection**:

- Perform basic calibration of equipment before starting the job.
- Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to inspect parts.
- **Troubleshooting and Quality Control**:

- Identify and correct any issues with machine performance, tooling, or part defects.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the production run.
- **Program Understanding and Editing (Basic)**:

- Understand G-code and M-code programs.
- Make minor edits on the controller if required (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, Haas).
- **Maintenance and Safety**:

- Follow machine maintenance schedules (cleaning, lubrication).
- Comply with safety standards and wear appropriate PPE.
- **Collaboration**:

- Coordinate with production planners, CNC programmers, and quality inspectors.

Education & Skills RequiredMinimum Education:

- **High School Diploma / ITI** (preferably in Fitter, Machinist, or Turner trade)
- **Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering** is preferred for advanced roles.

Technical Skills:

- Knowledge of CNC turning machines and controllers (Fanuc, Siemens, Mazak, etc.)
- Understanding of machining principles (feeds, speeds, tolerances)
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
- Familiarity with basic CNC programming (G-code, M-code)
- Experience with measuring tools and instruments

Soft Skills:

- Attention to detail
- Problem-solving abilities
- Good communication and teamwork
- Ability to work independently under mínimal supervision

**Experience**:

- **Entry-level**: 0-2 years (trainee or junior setter under supervision)
- **Skilled Setter**: 2-5 years with full machine setup responsibilities
- **Senior Setter or Supervisor**: 5+ years, often including leadership or mentoring

**Job Type**: Permanent

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
