**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and reliable Cashier to join our cafe team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for handling customer transactions, ensuring accurate order processing, and providing a welcoming environment for our guests. This role requires excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Greet customers warmly and assist with order processing, ensuring a positive and friendly experience.
- Accurately operate the cash register, processing payments via cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payment methods.
- Provide customers with their receipts, process refunds or exchanges as needed, and address any payment-related inquiries.
- Ensure that all orders are entered into the system accurately and promptly, coordinating with baristas and kitchen staff when necessary.
- Handle cash with care and ensure proper cash management, including balancing the register at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring a tidy and welcoming environment for customers.
- Assist with customer inquiries about the cafe's menu, promotions, and daily specials.
- Support the barista and kitchen teams by restocking supplies at the counter and maintaining a smooth flow of service.
- Follow health and safety guidelines, ensuring the cafe’s cleanliness and sanitation standards are met.
- Contribute to the overall team atmosphere, assisting in other tasks as needed, including taking orders, cleaning, and restocking.
- Help resolve customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner, ensuring satisfaction.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous cashier or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Ability to handle cash and process payments accurately and efficiently.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- A friendly and approachable attitude, with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, particularly during peak hours.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and giving correct change.
