Project overview: The platform is a digital solution offering secure communication, efficient care coordination, and real-time updates. Our team is responsible for its ongoing development, support, and modernization ensuring seamless functionality and compliance with healthcare standards.
- Responsibilities: Set up AWS infrastructure using an Infrastructure as Code tool (CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar)
- Implement secure CI/CD pipelines for: Laravel backend (PHP), Database migrations, Unit/integration tests, Zero-downtime deployments
- Set up scheduled data jobs and integrations with: Azure SQL, Snowflake, MariaDB, Other 3rd-party systems
- Automate backups, log rotation, and monitoring (CloudWatch or similar)
- Ensure HIPAA-aligned baseline security: WAF, Security group rules
- Implement alerting and recovery strategies for failure scenarios
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps
- Expertness in: AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch), CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CodePipeline, or similar), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or AWS CloudFormation), Basic scripting in Bash or Python
- Familiarity with Laravel (PHP) deployment processes
- Experience with MariaDB, Azure SQL, and Snowflake integrations
- Solid understanding of networking, firewalls, and security best practices
- Nice to have: Understanding of HIPAA and other general healthcare compliance standards
- Experience with Docker and basic container orchestration
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus, etc.)
