Finance Solution Architect

Role Purpose

Supporting the Finance Transformation objectives at LSEG, including delivery of new billing and ERP platforms, through delivery of end to end solutions on assigned projects, detailing the solution architecture, underlying principles and constraints, and key design decisions, and taking the solution through the programme-level and internal governance processes, and then continue to provide support and guidance to the programme through critical design decisions impacting end-to-end solution architecture.

Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with Business Stakeholders, Product Owner, Business Analysts to understand functional, non-functional and operational requirements, and other multi-functional and divisional teams
- To be the lead architect to work with other architects to define the end-to-end solution & design covering all involved systems, data, integration, security and non-functional requirements
- Identify architecture exceptions during definitions of target and transitional architectures
- Follow governance processes agreed with central Architecture Team - alignment to defined principles, policies, technology, information and process standards
- Produce and maintain architecture documentation including Solution Architecture Document, Data Flow Diagram, Integrated Architecture diagram etc
- Review solution individually with key non functional collaborators e.g. Security, Privacy etc
- Present solution in various forums (like Design Integrity Forum, Architecture Committee, Architecture Review Board) and with different teams like Security, Privacy.
- Help project team to size & estimate project implementation and identify resources and abilities needed for delivery of solution
- Ensure the proposed solution aligns with the business outcome
- Ensures all solutions follow Corporate Technology and enterprise solution standards, align with overall roadmap, have good quality documentation, and follow all relevant governance steps

**Required Skills**:
Technical/job functional knowledge
- Experienced in architecting, delivering and supporting software-based systems integrated across a variety of IT infrastructures
- Understanding of prevalent GCP-based IaaS, PaaS and SaaS solutions for Finance (Azure, AWS, Google, Oracle)
- Architecting for non-functional requirements, e.g. performance, network capacity, security. infrastructure concepts to support business continuity and operations e.g. performance, disaster recovery
- Familiarity with networking and security concepts
- Ideally, experience or knowledge of on-premise to Cloud migration projects, integration projects as a result of corporate acquisitions & mergers, onboarding SaaS solutions
- Appreciation of InfoSec practices as applied in a regulated environment
- Being technically savvy, and aware of general industry trends for technology and their impact on Finance

Business and sector expertise- Experience in working with business partners, and understanding of key outcomes, processes and data concepts in Finance
- Experience of presenting to ‘Head of’ levels’ of Management

- Experience providing Technical leadership as a Solution Architect on programs and projects
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical partners and to listen to identified concerns and adapt accordingly
- Ability to influence across multiple functions (technical and non-technical)
- Flexible in approach, adapting plans and strategies to help manage risks around ambiguity
- Problem solver with a strong intuition for business and proficient in current technological trends and business concepts
