**Job Title**: VMC/HMC Programmer

**Department**: Production / CNC Machining
**Reports To**: Production Manager / CNC Shop Supervisor
**Location**: Shirwal
**Employment Type**: Full-Time

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **CNC Programming**:

- Create and edit programs for VMC (Vertical Machining Centers) and HMC (Horizontal Machining Centers) using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Siemens NX, Fusion 360, or similar).
- Optimize tool paths for efficient machining and cycle time reduction.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds based on material and geometry.
- **Drawing Interpretation**:

- Read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and part specifications.
- Identify potential issues or design improvements related to manufacturability.
- **Machine Setup & Support**:

- Provide setup sheets and instructions for machine operators.
- Assist in machine setup, tool loading, and first-article inspection when needed.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and modify programs as required.
- **Process Improvement**:

- Work closely with design, quality, and production teams to improve machining processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- **Quality Control**:

- Ensure machined components meet tolerance, surface finish, and dimensional requirements.
- Collaborate with the quality team for in-process and final inspections.

**Qualifications**:

- ITI / Diploma / Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in CNC programming for VMC/HMC machines.
- Hands-on experience with CAM software and G-code editing.
- Knowledge of metal properties and machining techniques, particularly in sheet metal parts.
- Familiarity with 3-axis and 4-axis machining; 5-axis is a plus.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, tooling, and fixture design.
