**Key Responsibilities**:
The primary duties of a Solar Installer include assessing installation sites to determine the most efficient setup, configuring solar hardware, ensuring safety standards and codes are met, and conducting operational tests on installed solar systems.

**Tasks and Duties**

Solar Installers are tasked with several specific duties:

- Performing site-specific engineering analysis or assessments, detailing exact requirements.
- Installing solar panels, inverters, and other necessary equipment at various locations and environments.
- Ensuring electrical wiring is correctly in place and adhering to all safety and technical standards.
- Diagnosing and fixing any issues related to solar system performance.
- Keeping current with emerging technology and techniques in solar installation.
- Providing detailed technical explanations to clients on how to use the systems effectively.
- **Education and Certification Requirements**:
A career as a Solar Installer typically requires a high school diploma. However, further education such as an associate's degree in electrical engineering, solar energy technology, or a related field may be advantageous.

This role not only requires technical skills but also physical stamina and the ability to work at heights, often in extreme weather conditions. Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team are also important traits for a successful Solar Installer.
