**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**

To contribute to teaching & learning

**SCOPE**

The Assistant Professor reports directly to the Academic HOD’s and provides teaching &
learning and research services. Providing adequate teaching & learning services will ensure

that best support to students

**Qualification**: B.Sc. /M.Sc. / BCA / MCA / PhD

**Exp**: 2-5 yrs.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

and aim at achieving ranks/distinction to the institution

Instructions and conduction of experiments, tutorials and seminars of the programmers

assigned to him/her in an effective manner

Course planning, material preparation, Students Assessment, Evaluation and

Conduction of Internal tests & University Examinations, maintenance of records and

monitoring student’s progress.

Deliver lectures using innovative methods and technology
- Activity based learning,

Group tasks, lesson planning and execution, Technology enabled learning
- Internet

and ICT Techniques

Assist students for improving their learning in academics, Identify and improve

average students
- through remedial, Tutorial, revision classes

Arrange re-enforcement classes by academic or industry experts
- contribute to the

introduction of new academic programmers in the emerging areas relevant to the

society, innovative curriculum and new methodology of teaching and evaluation.

**Research and Development**

Attend /Conduct faculty development programmers, short-term courses, professional

society meetings, National / International Conferences, seminars conferences by

professional institutions, reading recent technical journal articles and periodicals and

going through the web sites of world class Universities.

Complete at least 1 certified course with NPTEL / MOOC/ SWAYAM and also

motivate students to enroll for the same.

Publish 1 or 2 papers in reputed journals (SCI or SSCI) (Scopus, Elsevier, or UGC

approved journals

Faculty members shall also strive to file patents if their research output is felt new and

novel.

Present papers in national or international conferences

Sponsored and funded research projects: should browse the web sites of various

funding agencies, advertisement, etc., periodically and submit research proposals in

the proper format to those agencies to secure funding assistance for research and

acquiring facilities such as equipment, instruments, etc. To prepare and submit

proposals for external funding agencies like VTU, DST, VGST, AICTE.

Conduct /Organize FDP’s (workshops/conferences) in a year

Guide student’s project work. Encourage students to submit proposals for securing

funding assistance from agencies

Preparing projects for funding in areas of R&D work, laboratory development,

modernization, expansion etc.

**Other Activities**

Involving in Co - Curricular-arrange guest lectures, seminars, FDP’s, workshops,

exhibitions, industry visits, educational tours and Extra - Curricular Activities
- be

part of any committee and organize events such as sports day, Annual day, Technical

fest, cultural fest etc.

Student’s guidance, mentoring, counselling and helping in their personal, ethical,

moral and overall character development.

Assisting in Conducting of Seminars, Workshops, Training, Conferences and

Collaboration with Industries.

Conduct at least 1 FDP/SDP/ workshop associated with 2-3 faculty

**Desirable**:
Write text books/Manuals/ Chapters/ Monographs etc

Deliver guest lectures at other institutions

**Job Types**: Full-time, Regular / Permanent

**Salary**: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,346.00 per month

Schedule:
