**JOB PROFILE**

**Job Summary**:
The Project Officer will support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of health programs for women and girls in marginalised communities. This role involves fieldwork, community mobilisation, and ensuring that program activities are executed efficiently and effectively, aligning with organisational goals.

**Key Responsibilities**

**1. Program Implementation**:
Assist in rolling out community-based health initiatives focused on SRHR, menstrual health, nutrition, and mental health.
- Conduct awareness sessions, workshops, and capacity-building activities for women, girls, and local health champions.
- Ensure timely and effective execution of program plans at the field level.

**2. Community Mobilisation**:

- Engage with local communities to build trust and promote participation in health initiatives.
- Support the identification and training of community health champions.
- Facilitate discussions and activities to address cultural barriers related to women’s health.

**3. Monitoring and Reporting**:

- Collect field-level data, conduct FGDs and do one to one discussion and maintain accurate records of program activities.
- Support the Project Coordinator in monitoring program progress and outcomes.
- Prepare regular field reports highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.

**4. Stakeholder Engagement**:

- Liaise with local health authorities, self-help groups, schools, and other community organisations to enhance program reach.
- Assist in coordinating with external partners and stakeholders involved in health initiatives.

**5. Advocacy and Awareness**:

- Support the design and dissemination of IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) materials tailored to community needs.
- Participate in community events and campaigns to raise awareness about women’s health issues.

**6. Administrative Support**:

- Manage logístical arrangements for field activities, including training sessions and workshops.
- Ensure proper documentation of expenses and adherence to organizational policies.

**7. Qualifications and Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Development Studies, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in implementing health or development programs at the community level.
- Basic understanding of SRHR, menstrual health, and grassroots health challenges.
- Experience working with rural or underserved communities is an advantage.

**8. Skills and Competencies**
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in [Local Language(s)] and English.
- Ability to build relationships with diverse groups and motivate community members.
- Basic knowledge of monitoring tools and data collection methods.
- Organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work in remote locations.
- Commitment to gender equity and women’s empowerment.
