**Position Description** Pure Watercraft is creating revolutionary electric marine propulsion to ensure a future where boating will be clean, quiet, and powerful. Our ground-up proprietary electric propulsion system can replace millions of unreliable, expensive, and dirty gas marine motors worldwide. As our Controller your detailed organization and hands-on problem solving will help us produce and deliver the highest performance and reliability electric boating experience. We seek a Controller who will take a lead role in managing the day-to-day accounting operations for a growing hardware startup company. Your responsibilities will include developing finance and accounting controls and processes, modelling and preparing financial reports, overseeing AR, AP and payroll, and supporting our internal and external stakeholders. - Location: Anywhere, global. - We offer equity **What You'll "Mostly" Do** - Prepare monthly financial results in accordance with GAAP - Develop and manage financial and accounting controls and processes in accordance with industry best-practices and company’s procedures - Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, design, and implement cost accounting systems for advanced hardware manufacturing - Cultivate a cost awareness atmosphere across the organization - Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll functions - Prepare annual operating budget and monthly budget-to-actual reporting - Ensure compliance with all reporting requirements - Recruit and train finance & accounting department over time - Prepare state and local tax and administrative filings - Coordinate with CPA firm for filing of state and federal income tax returns - Annual audit - Support sales and manufacturing teams as needed to ensure timely processing and fulfillment of customer orders - Coordinate with insurance brokers for commercial and D&O insurance - Monitor the financial performance of the company **What We Look for First** - Willingness to roll up your sleeves and embrace a “no task too big or too small” attitude - Strong working knowledge of US GAAP accounting - Strong working knowledge of US taxation - High attention to detail - Experience with cost accounting for high tech hardware manufacturing - Familiarity with ERP systems - Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills in English - 3-5 years previous experience in a similar role/job - Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline **Bonus Superpowers** - Expertise with Odoo - Experience at a high growth startup - CPA license (active or inactive) - Experience working on an accounting team at a public company - Advanced working knowledge of Google sheets - Purchasing/procurement experience in advanced hardware engineering environments Pay: From ₹21,000.00 per month Schedule: - Monday to Friday
