**Position Title**: Housekeeping Supervisor
**Department**: Housekeeping
**Reports To**: Housekeeping Manager / Hotel Manager
**Position Summary**:
The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the work activities of the housekeeping staff to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive rooms and common areas in the hotel or establishment. This role involves supervising staff, inspecting rooms and common areas, and ensuring adherence to cleanliness standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- **Supervision of Housekeeping Staff**:
- Schedule shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absence.
- Assign tasks to housekeeping staff and monitor their progress.
- Train new employees on cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- **Quality Control**:
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, common areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
- Address any issues or complaints regarding cleanliness and service promptly and effectively.
- Ensure that all rooms are serviced and maintained up to the standards required.
- **Inventory Management**:
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linen, and other housekeeping items.
- Order supplies as needed and ensure they are stored safely and securely.
- Track and manage the usage of supplies to avoid wastage.
- **Safety and Compliance**:
- Ensure that all housekeeping activities comply with established health and safety regulations.
- Conduct safety training for housekeeping staff and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Report and follow up on any maintenance issues or repairs needed in guest rooms and public areas.
- **Customer Service**:
- Interact with guests to handle any housekeeping-related inquiries or issues.
- Ensure a positive and professional guest experience by responding promptly to guest requests and concerns.
- **Administrative Duties**:
- Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, including room status and cleaning schedules.
- Prepare reports on housekeeping performance, including occupancy rates and maintenance needs.
- Assist in budget preparation and cost control for housekeeping operations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- **Experience**:
- Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Experience in the hospitality industry is highly desirable.
**Education**:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Additional certification in hospitality management or housekeeping is a plus.
Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
