Job Title: Child Psychologist - Behavioral Therapy and Assessment Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Psychologist specializing in behavioral therapy and assessments to join our dynamic team. As a Child Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive psychological services to children and adolescents struggling with behavioral, emotional, and developmental challenges. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based behavioral interventions to promote positive outcomes for our young clients.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning of children and adolescents.

2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals, to gather relevant information and develop comprehensive treatment plans.

3. Utilize standardized assessment tools and techniques to diagnose various psychological disorders and developmental disabilities in children and adolescents.

4. Design and implement individualized treatment interventions based on assessment findings, utilizing evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques.

5. Provide counseling and support to children, adolescents, and their families to address behavioral challenges, emotional concerns, and interpersonal difficulties.

6. Monitor and evaluate the progress of clients throughout the course of treatment, adjusting intervention strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.

7. Offer guidance and support to parents/caregivers on implementing behavioral management techniques and fostering positive parent-child relationships.

8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information in accordance with ethical and professional standards.

9. Stay current with advancements in the field of child psychology, attending conferences, workshops, and training sessions to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

10. Adhere to legal and ethical guidelines governing the practice of psychology, ensuring confidentiality, informed consent, and professional conduct at all times.

Qualifications:

- Msc/MA in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology from an accredited institution.
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a psychologist.
- Specialization or certification in child psychology preferred.
- Proven experience conducting psychological assessments and providing behavioral therapy interventions to children and adolescents.
- Strong knowledge of developmental psychology, child psychopathology, and evidence-based treatment modalities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with children, adolescents, and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and documentation purposes.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical guidelines and legal standards in the practice of psychology.
