**Job Description**:
The Platform Security Architect will lead all aspects of the development of security related platform deliverables including assessment, platform development and, as appropriate, implementation oversight efforts. He or she will effectively and accurately scope security concern.

The Platform Security Architect is expected to individually solve problems of higher complexity.

The Platform Security Architect will also participate in the development and enhancement of the data platform to insure it maintains relevancy with requirements and industry changes.

**What you will do**
- Manage and execute platform security across lifecycle strategy, design, implementation and operations
- Participate, lead and jointly deliver security evaluation reports on cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP), cloud native platforms (PCF, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.), and Software as a Service solutions
- Establish security requirements for cloud-based solutions data platform by evaluating business strategies and requirements, researching cloud infrastructure security standards such as ISO 27000 series, NIST CSF, and CSA
- Provide domain expertise in both public and private cloud and enterprise technology
- Identify and deliver appropriate controls based on industry standards (e.g. CCM) to drive cloud and data platform security solutions framework based on business risk and cloud native threats
- Continually evaluate new threats in the cloud, to identify the impact on IT and Business to develop and implement security controls
- Provide recommendations for improvement and risk reduction by assessing the data platform cloud security posture; and act as a change agent with internal stakeholders to oversee the vulnerability improvements
- Responsibilities include collaborating with and influencing multiple cross-functional teams, as well as technical leadership of a large development team or leading technical aspects of a multi-team project.
- Stay up to date on new tools & techniques in the information security space
- Builds relationships and interacts with peers to ensure assigned tasks are prioritized appropriately.
- Thinks outside the box and is willing to research and explore new avenues to overcome obstacles by utilizing the latest technologies and standards. May function as a go-to person for a technology, software methodology, or other area of expertise.
- Takes the lead on identifying and recommending software development capability improvements in the areas of software development practices and development tools
- Clearly communicates and conveys design concepts, both verbally and in writing.
- Able to learn and understand complex system concepts.
