**Job Description**:
**Position Summary**:

- The Environment Supervisor is responsible for the creation of digital environments for the film. You will be working closely with the VFX supervisor to establish the look of the environments in the film as per the client and VFX supervisors' directions.
- Environment supervisor works with the team of DMP/Environment Generalist to set up the best possible workflow keeping the efficiency in the mind.
- The Environment supervisor will be responsible to fulfil the artistic and technical requirements of the show. You will be working closely with the other departments supervisor to ensure the smooth delivery of the environments into the pipeline.

**Responsibilities**:

- Thoroughly check and understand the sequences/shots requirements and appropriately define the scope of work for environments**.**:

- Play a key role in identifying the requirements of the shows**.**:

- Identifying 2D/2.5D/3D requirements of the shot.
- Set up the workflow for the digital environments keeping optimization in the mind.
- Directly oversee the team of DMP and Environment artists.
- Manage the deadlines/deliveries effectively and work hand in hand with production.
- Ensure that leads are effectively running their teams and provide guidance to resolve any issues that may arise.
- Work with the build/asset team with respect to asset build of the environment.
- Work closely with the production manager to keep the bid days in check.
- Attend desk rounds with all members of the team on a regular basis
- Run dailies with the team to give feedback/approvals
- Present the environments for the client deliveries/approvals in the best way possible.

**Qualifications**:

- 3-5 years previous experience as a Lead/Supervisor for live-action features.
- Strong understanding of Nuke, 3D environment layout, Asset Builds, Maya and camera projections.
- Extensive technical and creative experience with Maya, Houdini, Z Brush, Photoshop.
- Understanding of Katana, Renderman.
- Expert understanding of the digital film pipeline.
- Expert understanding of techniques and technologies related to Environments.
