Laboratory Technician

**1. Raw Material Testing**:Analyze raw materials (e.g., clay, feldspar, quartz) for chemical and physical properties.Ensure raw materials meet quality standards before use in production.

**2. Quality Control**:Perform routine tests on ceramic products during and after production (e.g., strength, porosity, thermal resistance).Identify defects and recommend corrective actions.

**3. Sample Preparation**:Prepare test specimens and samples for laboratory analysis.Operate kilns and other lab equipment to simulate production conditions.

**4. Glaze and Slip Testing**:Formulate and test glazes, slips, and other surface coatings.Check for consistency, color accuracy, and adherence properties.

**5. Process Monitoring**:Monitor and log kiln temperatures, firing cycles, and other production variables.Ensure the consistency of firing results and report any anomalies.

**6. Data Collection and Reporting**:Record and analyze lab test data.Prepare reports to support production decisions and R&D.

**7. Support R&D Activities**:Assist engineers and scientists in developing new ceramic products or improving existing ones.Test experimental batches and document results.

**8. Equipment Maintenance**:Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments (e.g., spectrometers, microscopes, viscometers).Ensure the laboratory is clean, safe, and well-organized.

**9. Compliance and Safety**:Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).Comply with environmental and workplace regulations.

**10. Inventory Management**:Maintain inventory of lab supplies and raw materials.Order or request materials as needed for ongoing tests.

Pay: ₹8,397.88 - ₹29,144.79 per month
