Role Description

The role holder will be responsible for providing overall L3 OS administration support for the team.

Qualification & Experience
- B. Tech / BE
- 10 + years of relevant experience
- Delivery of quality, cost-effective infrastructure services in a complex & high availability environment
- Proven ability to plan and execute workload in a pressurized & dynamic environment.
- ITIL Certified and strong working knowledge of ITIL Incident, Problem and Change Management disciplines.

Skills Required

**Technical skills
- Strong Knowledge in OS administration processes and concepts.
- Ability to direct and guide team to resolve crisis situations within prescribed SLAs
- Ability to provide consultation for new projects, functionalities, migrations, upgrades.
- Ability to direct and guide team to resolve crisis situations within prescribed SLAs
- Ability to plan, initiate and manage special tasks/projects.

**Analytical skills
- Good analytical, trouble-shooting skills in the area of technical fault isolation and rectification.

**Process skills
- Ability to resolve service requests. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow processes.
- Strong Knowledge of ITSM processes

**Other skills
- Customer interface experience (managing expectations; negotiating compromise solutions).
- Should have good communication and interpersonal skill.
- Should be willing to work in a 24*7 environment.
- Proven experience in team handling.
- **ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installation of OS and configuration as per requirements.
- Patch and package administration as per requirements.
- Performance improvement and automation of jobs
- DC and DR file sync status.
- Working on the requests of development and support team on staging and UAT setup
- Hardening of servers as per bank policy
- User administration of all servers
- Providing CPU, Memory and core utilization of VMWARE instances on daily basis.
- Performing log movement as per bank policy and managing log movement inventory
- Daily reports of NetBackup success/failures and log movement.
- Quarterly patching activity on all servers
- Escalating hardware and system-level problems to AMC Vendors.
- Ensuring consistency across staging/production and Disaster recovery systems as defined in SLA for each setup.
- Document issues and associated resolutions to problems
- Prepare documentation and presentation of progress reports to customers
- Conduct user’s, customer’s and Team’s training
- Guide/Mentor the team members on technical problems which cannot be resolved at their level
- Ensure that Systems, Organization processes, & Unit practices adhere to Organization policies
- Active participation in Organization and Unit level initiatives
