**Reports to: Tool Room Manager**

**Job Summary**:
The CNC VMC Operator for the aluminium extrusion die tool room will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC vertical machining centers to fabricate extrusion dies and other tooling components. This position requires a strong understanding of CNC operations, blueprint reading, and precision machining.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Setup and Operation**

Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand the specifications of the components.
Setup CNC VMC machines by selecting appropriate tools, fixtures, and tool paths.
Load and unload materials and components on the machine.
Operate CNC VMC machines to produce parts according to specifications.

**Maintenance and Troubleshooting**

Perform regular maintenance on the CNC VMC machines to ensure their optimum performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or malfunctions that occur during the machining process.

**Quality Assurance**

Inspect finished components using precision measurement tools to ensure they meet quality and tolerance specifications.
Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address any quality issues or deviations.

**Documentation and Reporting**

Maintain accurate records of production data, including production volumes, and quality metrics.
Report any issues or deviations from the production plan to the tool room manager.

**Safety and Compliance**

Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding tool room operations.

**Qualifications**:
High school, ITI, diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in CNC machining or a related field is preferred.

2-5 years of experience in operating CNC VMC machines, preferably in a tool room setting.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.

Skilled in using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

Basic knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software is a plus.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.

**Physical Requirements**:
Ability to stand for extended periods.

Capable of lifting up to 20 Kg

Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

**Working Conditions**:
The tool room environment may include exposure to loud noises, dust, and coolants.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and earplugs will be provided and must be used as required.
