**Job Overview**:

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Food Preparation and Cooking**:

- Prepare and cook dishes according to traditional Chinese recipes and menu specifications, ensuring consistent quality and taste.
- Oversee the cooking of specific sections in the kitchen (e.g., woks, noodles, dim sum, meats, seafood, or vegetables).
- Manage the preparation of mise en place for your designated section, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and ready for service.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared to a high standard of taste, presentation, and hygiene.
- **Menu Collaboration**:

- Assist the Head Chef in developing new menu items, updating seasonal offerings, and maintaining the overall menu concept.
- Ensure that each dish follows the authenticity and traditional techniques of Chinese cuisine.
- Work with the kitchen team to make recommendations for improving menu items and increasing customer satisfaction.
- **Kitchen Management**:

- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, ensuring proper cooking techniques, safety practices, and cleanliness.
- Maintain proper stock levels of ingredients and order new supplies as required.
- Monitor food preparation and storage to maintain high hygiene standards and minimize food wastage.
