**Job Description: Hostel Warden (Nursing School)**

**Position Summary**:
The Hostel Warden is responsible for the effective management of the hostel, ensuring the safety, discipline, and well-being of the students. They act as the primary point of contact for all hostel-related matters and play a vital role in maintaining a positive and secure living environment for nursing students.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Hostel Administration**:

- Oversee day-to-day hostel operations and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, room allotments, and leave requests.
- Address and resolve any issues related to hostel facilities, such as maintenance, cleanliness, or utilities.
- **Safety and Discipline**:

- Ensure the safety and security of students within the hostel premises at all times.
- Enforce discipline by monitoring adherence to hostel rules, curfews, and guidelines.
- Handle disciplinary actions in case of misconduct and report major incidents to the administration.
- **Student Welfare**:

- Act as a mentor and counselor to students, addressing their personal, academic, or emotional concerns.
- Encourage and organize recreational, cultural, and wellness activities for students.
- Promote a harmonious and respectful living environment among students.
- **Facility Management**:

- Inspect hostel premises regularly to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance of rooms, common areas, and dining facilities.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff for timely repairs and upkeep.
- **Emergency Handling**:

- Be available 24/7 to respond to emergencies, such as medical issues, fire, or security incidents.
- Maintain first-aid supplies and coordinate with healthcare facilities as needed.
- **Communication and Coordination**:

- Serve as the primary liaison between students, parents, and the institution for hostel-related matters.
- Submit regular reports to the management on hostel operations and student behavior.
- Coordinate with faculty and administrative staff regarding student activities and academic schedules.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Prior experience in hostel management or a related role is preferred.
- **Skills**:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage students with empathy, firmness, and fairness.
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.

**Work Conditions**:

- Residential role requiring the warden to stay within the hostel premises.
- Availability to handle emergencies during odd hours.
- A mature and responsible individual with a nurturing approach, preferably with experience in working with young adults in an educational or residential setup.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹9,040.61 - ₹20,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Night shift
