This hub will fulfill a critical enabling role in the Technology Centre network, providing efficient and skilled engineering and technical services as a key pillar of Orica’s global Technology Network. The hub will provide the following services:

- Engineering and drafting
- Technical writing
- Customer technical support
- Technical project support

**About the role**:
We're excited to announce that we're seeking applicants for the position of **Design Draftsperson**. This role will be a foundation team member of the new **Hyderabad, India** hub.

**What you will be doing**:
As a member of the Hyderabad hub team, you will be working collaboratively with Scientist, Engineers, Developers, Data Scientists, Product Managers, and other resource industry Subject Matter Experts around the globe to continuously ship value to our customers.

You will:

- Plan and contribute to briefs for design work.
- Prepare concept layouts and designs for approval.
- Prepare detailed construction drawings and specifications covering a variety of engineering disciplines including civil, mechanical, and electrical.
- Check drawings per Work Instructions
- Use and improve drawing production and design procedures.
- Maintain expert skill and knowledge necessary to effectively and efficiently use computer aided drafting.
- Maintain a detailed knowledge concerning the functional requirements and design of fixed and mobile plants.
- Supervise internal and external drafting work to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Re-use previous designs and drawings for Standard Plant & Equipment
- Build maintainability into designs.
- Agree design output as part of scope.
- Ensure level of detail and design documents are the minimum required.

**What you will bring**:

- Proficient in English (both oral and written)
- Holds a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in a relevant Engineering field.
- More than five years of engineering design drafting experience
- A thorough knowledge of AS1100 drawing standards is essential
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the use of Autocad and Solidworks
- Knowledge on 2D drawings and schematics and 3D CAD model creation
- A practical understanding of typical materials handling and pumping systems.
