Qc Microbiologist

Job Summary:
The Plant Head is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations at the plant. This includes production, quality assurance, engineering, supply chain, EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety), and regulatory compliance. The role ensures that operations are efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with GMP, regulatory, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee day-to-day plant operations ensuring production targets, quality, safety, and cost objectives are met.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resources.
- Ensure strict adherence to GMP, regulatory (FDA, EMA, WHO, etc.), and company compliance standards.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, QA/QC, warehouse, and HR.
- Budget planning and cost control to meet profitability targets.
- Liaise with corporate management for strategic planning, capacity expansion, and technology upgradation.
- Maintain a culture of safety and quality, promoting employee engagement and high-performance teams.
- Manage audits from regulatory bodies and clients, ensuring successful outcomes.
- Develop and mentor leadership teams and succession planning.
- Implement SOPs and policies across departments to standardize operations.

Key Requirements:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA, WHO, and other regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record in managing large teams, production planning, cost control, and cross-functional leadership.
- Experience in handling external audits, regulatory inspections, and technology transfer.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills.

Preferred:

- Experience in sterile, oral solids, injectables, or API facilities depending on plant type.
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence frameworks.
- Knowledge of ERP systems like SAP.
