**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Assist library patrons with finding and using library resources, including computers, electronic databases, and physical materials
- Check books and other materials in and out of the library
- Restock shelves and ensure all materials are in their correct place
- Help patrons with library technology, such as e-book readers, self-checkout machines, and public computers
- Maintain a quiet and respectful environment conducive to reading and studying
- Assist Librarians with planning and implementing library programs and events
- Process new materials, including books, audio-visual materials, and computer software
- Maintain library records and manage overdue materials
- Perform administrative duties, such as answering phones, handling mail, and updating databases
- Help organize library materials so they are easy to find, and maintain neatness in the area
- Perform routine cataloguing tasks
- Register new patrons and issue library cards
- Perform routine clerical tasks as needed
- **Supervision and Security**: The female warden is responsible for overseeing the overall security of the hostel premises. This includes monitoring entry and exit points, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed in, and taking necessary steps to prevent unauthorized access.
- **Counseling and Support**: The warden often serves as a mentor and counselor for the residents. She provides guidance and support to students facing personal, academic, or emotional challenges. This may involve offering advice, lending a listening ear, or referring students to appropriate support services.
- **Health and Well-being**: The warden ensures that the hostel environment is conducive to the health and well-being of the residents. This may involve organizing health-related activities, promoting cleanliness and hygiene practices, and coordinating with relevant authorities in case of medical emergencies.
- **Emergency Response**: In the event of an emergency such as fire, natural disaster, or medical crisis, the warden plays a crucial role in coordinating evacuation procedures, providing assistance to residents, and liaising with emergency services as needed.
- **Community Building**: The warden fosters a sense of community and belonging among the residents by organizing social and recreational activities, facilitating interactions among students, and promoting a supportive living environment.

**Requirement & Skills**
- High school diploma or equivalent is required, associate’s or bachelor’s degree is a plus
- Previous library experience is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of library operations and procedures is a plus
- Prior experience in Hostel Administration.
- Minimum 2+ years of proven experience in the relevant field/similar academic institution.

Date of Joining: Immediate / 15 Days

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
