Triage Specialists serve as an operational contact representing Empower and are expected to coordinate and oversee the processing of retirement plan activities and transactions submitted by Plan Sponsors, Advisors, Third Party Administrators or other Client Services associates. Team members review work items and work in conjunction with other operational teams to facilitate requests accurately. Manages daily communications with internal and external parties to maintain or improve quality of the processed requests.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Collects or receives work as assigned from Plan Sponsors, Third Party Administrators, other intermediaries or other associates within Client Services.
- Assigns work to other operational departments for completion.
- Reviews work returned from other departments to ensure proper quality standards have been achieved.
- Completes processing steps as documented within standard operating procedures.
- Contacts internal departments to provide or collect status of work items.
- Follows-up with internal and external clients for items necessary to complete their requests.
- Provides internal and external clients with status of submitted work.
- Services all segments of the Client Services organization.
- Other as assigned.

EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree is a must

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-2 years of experience in financial service industry is a must
- Fingerprinting required for non-registered personnel to match U.S. requirements for same position(s)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and problem-solve effectively
- Proven ability to work effectively within a team and individually
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent time management
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Flexible schedule

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as but not limited to; computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to concentrate, talk and hear. This role is regularly required to type, reach with hands and arms, sit for long periods of time, read, write, listen, verbally communicate, present information, respond to questions, problem solve, concentrate and tolerated stress. Many duties will be done while sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
