As a medical scribe working on-site at a government hospital in Chennai with a schedule from 9 am to 1 pm, your primary responsibilities would likely include:

- **Documentation**: Accurately recording patient history, symptoms, physical exams, diagnoses, treatments, and other relevant information into the hospital's electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- **Assisting Physicians**: Accompanying physicians during patient encounters to take notes, facilitate documentation, and ensure all necessary information is captured.
- **Data Entry**: Transcribing dictated notes from healthcare providers into the EMR system in real-time during patient visits.
- **Chart Maintenance**: Ensuring that all patient charts are complete, up-to-date, and comply with hospital and regulatory standards.
- **Communication**: Facilitating communication between healthcare providers, patients, and other hospital staff as needed to ensure smooth workflow and continuity of care.
- **Confidentiality**: Adhering to strict patient confidentiality and privacy regulations (such as HIPAA in the United States) at all times.
- **Support**: Providing administrative support to healthcare providers as needed, such as scheduling appointments, organizing paperwork, or facilitating referrals.
- **Quality Assurance**: Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance documentation accuracy, efficiency, and overall patient care.
- **Training and Education**: Staying informed about medical terminology, procedures, and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
- **Teamwork**: Collaborating with other medical scribes, physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 24 per week
