- **Safety**: Ensuring that all safety protocols are followed and that safety is the top priority when assigning work
- **Scheduling**: Scheduling shifts and coordinating work activities with other departments
- **Equipment maintenance**: Maintaining equipment and troubleshooting any issues that arise
- **Production goals**: Setting production goals and monitoring work order progress
- **Documentation**: Maintaining production documents, timecards, and overtime records
- **Collaboration**: Collaborating with other departments to optimize production processes
- **Reporting**: Preparing production and other reports
