**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Work across the department and business unit boundaries (Including Design team, Project Line Management team, Solution Test team, etc.) to define test strategies for upcoming technological areas and play a key role in reviewing and influencing the test strategies at feature/system level.
- Devise new approaches to problems encountered and lead the development of test methodologies or enhancement of existing methods leading to high degree of impact on quality, cost and schedules of multiple projects.
- Technical mentor and instructor to junior professionals and serves as a reference resource to assist in challenging technical topics.
- Confer with hardware and software engineering personnel to resolve problems related to specifications and associated test plans/procedures. Consult with design engineers in resolution of defects.
- Schedule and conduct team meetings to discuss testing needs in relation to requirements and design issues/implementations.
- Collaborate with management to establish objectives and priorities for projects that have short and long term product delivery impacts.
- Analyze test results, trends, prepare test summary reports, and participate in test escape analysis reviews and subsequent actions.

**REQUIRED SKILLS**
- Demonstrated strong technical skills with high degree of breadth and depth in Routing and Switching Technologies with specific focus on Timing and Synchronization and PON technology
- Ability to act, think and influence strategically to devise new approaches and innovative solutions.
- Strong leadership, communications, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to lead and delivery programs and initiatives across a multi-site organization.
- Strong understanding of customers operational perspectives and network architectures

**EDUCATION and RELEVANT EXPERIENCE**
- Bachelors or Masters in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science with 10+ years of experience in production and systems test.
- Prior design or system test engineering experience.
