
Procurement Officer

**We**are looking for an astute procurement officer to oversee purchasing activities and ensure that purchased items are both cost-efficient and of high quality.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Execution of all purchase duties as assigned
- Responsible to Source, negotiate and propose the selection of vendor for the best purchase package evaluating quality, price, commercial terms, deliveries and services with the suppliers/ Service provides.
- Managing Purchase order issuance and material handling until delivery for all materials (local and oversees) to the desired location.
- Responsible to gather all required technical and commercial documents from Vendors as required.
- Expediting suppliers and internal teams (viz. Project, Finance, clearance team, ) to ensure materials are received as per the material required date and the project schedule.
- Reviewing commercial and shipping documents prior to necessary required actions
- Coordinating with Logistics providers and internal teams to ensure materials are delivered within required time frame.
- Handling and monitoring of claims to vendors for defective, shortage, missing parts and NCR.
- Coordinate with user departments and suppliers in the purchasing scope of work for projects assigned.
- Support relevant departments with quotations for the purpose of tenders.
- Check all possibilities of finding new suppliers/ service providers.
- Support the department in evaluating Supplier performance.
- Support in evaluating the performance of logistics providers.
- Comply with purchase dept. specific procedures and QHSE policies and procedures as applicable
- Other assignments as and when instructed by the Senior Management.
**QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS**
**Minimum Qualifications**: Degree/Post Graduation
**Minimum Experience**: 5 years or above post qualification experience in a structured progressive Corporate environment.
**Job-Specific Skills**:
- Ability to execute procure multiple product types within specified time fame
- Ability to negotiate as per requirement and budget
**Generic Skills**:
- Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and documentation.
- Knowledge of equipment, materials, mechanical and Automation related materials (preferred).
- Exposure to MS Office packages - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge in ERP software purchase module is a plus.
