**Job Description: Admission Counselor**

**Position Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Recruitment and Outreach**:

- Conduct presentations at high schools, college fairs, and other outreach events to promote the institution.
- Build and maintain relationships with high school counselors, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate and participate in campus tours, open houses, and informational sessions.
- **Application Review and Admission Decisions**:

- Conduct interviews with applicants and assess their fit with the institution.
- Provide recommendations on admissions decisions in line with institutional guidelines.
- **Communication and Support**:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students and their families.
- Guide applicants through the admissions process, answering questions about requirements, deadlines, and financial aid.
- **Administrative and Reporting Duties**:

- Maintain accurate records of prospective and current applicants in the admissions database.
- Prepare regular reports on recruitment and admission activities.
- Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, financial aid, and academic advising.
- **Continuous Improvement**:

- Stay informed about trends in higher education, admissions strategies, and competitors.
- Contribute ideas for enhancing the admissions process and improving student engagement.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in education, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- **Experience**: Prior experience in admissions, recruitment, or a related field is preferred.
- **Skills**:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
