Operation Theatre Technician

Maintains and keeps the operating room and ensures everything is running smoothly before the conduct of surgery.
- Cleanse and disinfect surgical instruments and or equipment after surgeries.
- Prepare surgical instrument and equipment for autoclaving/sterilization per protocol.
- Ensure all electrical points are functioning (sockets and switches) extension boards are working and electrical suction units are in working order.
- Ensure sufficient number of medical gas cylinders oxygen, Air nitrous oxide, carbon dioxide are readily available and checked for adequate pressure.
- Check the anesthesia machine for presence of all anesthetic drugs, stainless steel iras, Magill's forceps syringes, needles, labels. Intravenous cannulae, three ways stop cocks. adhesive tapes, scissors, spirit, tincture banjoing etc.
- Ensure emergency drugs tray/cart is checked and kept ready for use. They should cros._ check the expiry dates of drugs and replace as and when required. Resuscitatiti c equipment should be kept ready.
- Maintains and keeps all surgical tools sterile and orderly.
- Maintains and keeps all equipment clean and functional.
- Order and maintain adequate necessary supplies in the operating room.
- Prepares the patient before and after surgery by washing and disinfecting the area for surgery.
- Assists in bringing the patient to the operating room.
- Attends to the needs of the patient while inside the operating room.
- Assist surgeon during the procedure.

**Salary**: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
