- An MYP (Middle Years Programme) Teacher at OWIS plays a vital role in delivering the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, which caters to students aged 11-16. The MYP is designed to develop critical thinking, global-mindedness, and holistic learning through an inquiry-based approach.

**Responsibilities**

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Curriculum Planning & Delivery**:

- Design and implement engaging, inquiry-driven lessons aligned with MYP objectives.
- Foster interdisciplinary connections to enhance student understanding.

**Assessment & Feedback**:

- Utilize formative and summative assessments to measure student progress.
- Provide constructive feedback to support growth and development.

**Student Development**:

- Promote Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills, including communication, research, and self-management.
- Support students in personal projects and community-based learning.

**Collaboration**:

- Work closely with colleagues in planning units, sharing best practices, and moderating assessments.
- Engage with parents through regular communication and conferences.

**Professional Development**:

- Participate in IB training and continuous learning opportunities to stay updated with the latest educational strategies.

**Pastoral Care**:

- Mentor students, supporting their social, emotional, and academic well-being.
