**Job Summary**:
The cashier is responsible for processing customer purchases accurately and efficiently while providing exceptional customer service. This includes operating the cash register, handling payments, maintaining cash drawer accuracy, and ensuring the checkout area is clean and organized.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Customer Transactions**:

- Greet customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Accurately scan, itemize, and process purchases.
- Handle cash, credit, debit, and other forms of payment.
- Ensure all transactions are completed accurately, including providing receipts and any necessary change.
- Bag or wrap purchases as needed.
- **Payment Handling**:

- Manage cash drawer: opening, closing, and balancing it at the start and end of each shift.
- Process refunds and returns in accordance with store policy.
- Ensure accurate cash handling to avoid discrepancies or errors.
- Monitor counterfeit bills or fraudulent activity.
- **Customer Service**:

- Address customer inquiries regarding pricing, promotions, or store policies.
- Resolve complaints or refer issues to supervisors when necessary.
- Provide information about products or direct customers to other areas of the store.
- **Store Operations**:

- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Restock bags, receipts, and other necessary supplies.
- Assist in maintaining displays and cleanliness as needed.
- Follow all safety and security protocols.
- **Compliance & Security**:

- Follow company policies on handling sensitive customer data.
- Be aware of potential security risks and report any suspicious activities.
- Adhere to cash handling policies and safeguard company assets.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Education**: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- **Experience**: Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is a plus, but not always required.
- **Skills**:

- Strong math and basic accounting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems is an advantage

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹14,490.61 - ₹20,000.00 per month
