Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:

- Work with the Engineering and Visualization team to gather requirements for the database design and model.
- Extensive work experience on query optimization, script optimization, other related optimization tools and techniques including Performance monitoring.
- Design and create database objects such as data table structures, stored procedures, views, Triggers, reports, Database Administration, Configuration, Maintenance and Support.
- Implement and maintain security and integrity controls including backup and disaster recovery strategies for document management system and databases.
- Create alerts and notifications, operator, Database mail configuration for system errors, insufficient resources and fatal database errors.
- Database partitioning, replication, Migration and able to handle large database (more than 1 TB).

Role Requirements & Qualifications:

- Knowledge of relational databases and data architecture computer systems, including SQL.
- Knowledge of performance tuning of ELT/ETL data.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent.
- Certification from one of the Big Data vendors - Microsoft, Cloudera, Hortonworks, IBM, Databricks, Teradata preferred.
- Master’s degree in business administration / computer science optional

Responsible database design and models, including maintenance (Configuration, Administration) of it during its lifecycle.
- Query optimization, script optimization, other related optimization tools and techniques including Performance monitoring.
- Responsible for creating data table structures, stored procedures, views, Triggers, reports.
- Implement and maintain security and integrity controls including backup and disaster recovery strategies for the database.
- Database partitioning, replication, Migration and able to handle large database.
