The CFIBC Chief Control Office (CCO) plays an important role in enabling Global Banking to operate within its risk appetite, by ensuring efficient and effective risk and control management. The CFIBC CCO is responsible for the provision of operational risk and control expertise, maintaining robust risk governance focused on material risk and issues, and evolving a culture of continuous and consistent risk management.

The role holder will facilitate the maintenance of an effective Non-Financial Risk (“NFR”) and control environment through close liaison and engagement with the global CFIBC CCO team to deliver, robust continuous monitoring, controls testing, Helios administration, RCF inputs and Governance pack production, tracking progress of outstanding issues and actions, as well appropriate stakeholder engagement to monitor the resolution of all non-financial risk exceptions and providing insight into the CFIBC/WCOO Risk Landscape. The role holder will provide guidance and support to the Global CFIBC Product CCO’s to help maintain an effective NFR framework which contributes to the effective execution of relationships, products and services for GB CFIBC internal stakeholders.

**What you’ll do**:
**Principal Accountabilities: Key activities and decision making areas**
- RCF coordination - decks, scheduling and diary management for the meetings & pre-meetings, timely meeting minute issuance
- MI pack coordination - compilation of MI (GIRS, breaches, conduct dashboard MI) for Product Head Management packs.
- Continuous monitoring - review of MI, trending, analysis, and timely escalations, as well as:

- Monthly Audio surveillance checks
- Monthly GIRS Register owner seniority checks (supported by BOT)
- Monthly Jabber IM/Audio surveillance checks
- Semi
- Annual Data At Rest Scans
- Helios administration - Risk Owner/Control Owner/Risk Steward name changes. Issues and Actions status updates.

**Typical Targets and Measures**
- Timely pack production and issuance, and time bound Meeting minute issuanc
- Ensure relevant owners update Helios in line with FIM requirements. Helios data quality exceptions are kept to a minimum.
- Support through robust and well executed Continuous Monitoring plans, data driven outputs
- Insight via MI to identify emerging issues that may impact the CFIBC risk landscape and escalate as appropriate.

**Customers / Stakeholders**
- Provide proactive guidance and support to stakeholders regarding the management of non-financial risk.
- Identify and share NFR management best practice across WCOO, crucially to engage with the wider CoE to drive efficiencies and replay innovation back into CFIBC CCO globally
- Actively develop key relationships across CFIBC CCO globally to support the promotion of an effective and forward looking risk NFR management framework and culture.
- Develop and maintain effective Risk Profile Management which includes proactive management of live business risks, RCA support, independent validation of continuous monitoring plans and KRI monitoring

- Actively contribute towards the management of Residual Risk to within risk appetite across the global GB estate.
- Build and maintain open and proactive working relationships with the various CFIBC CCO partners coordinating and sharing best practice.

- Drive a proactive risk management framework through enhanced reporting and analytics.

- Help protect the Bank from potential Regulatory censure and reduce the impact of 2nd/3d Line reviews.

**Leadership & Teamwork**:

- Contribute towards a strong non-financial risk culture across GB/WCOO
- Support achievement of the HSBC strategy, purpose and values in personal behaviour, actions and decision making.
- Support the global CFIBC CCO team in respect of all non-financial risk matters providing thoughtful insight and reporting.

- Thematic and forward looking reporting insight across the GB/WCOO NFR landscape.
- Support improvements to the control environment to bring control effectiveness to within appetite.
- Provide proactive and constructive feedback/updates.

**Role Context**:
The GB CFIBC CCO team sit within the Wholesale COO and provide expert impartial guidance and support to implement and maintain an effective NFR framework which contributes to the effective execution of relationships, products and services for Global Banking clients and ensures that GB ‘Stays Safe’.

The role holder will exercise a high degree of autonomy when executing their responsibilities.
