The Community Health Division of Bangalore Baptist Hospital, in collaboration with the Department for the Empowerment of Differently Abled and Senior Citizens, Government of Karnataka, is seeking a dedicated **female Psychologist** to join the **District Disability Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC)**, based in **Devanahalli**.
**Qualifications**:
- **MSc in Psychology** from a recognized university
- Proficiency in **Kannada** (reading and writing) and **English**:
- Minimum **2-3 years** of experience in the NGO sector or related field
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide **early intervention** and rehabilitation support
- Conduct **mental health** assessments and interventions
- Manage **de-addiction programs**:
- Use IQ assessment tools such as **BKT, BATIA, and the Seguin form board**:
- Assess client behavior and needs through **observation, interviews, and psychometric tests**:
- Screen for **developmental disorders** and delays; plan suitable interventions
- Conduct **field and home visits**:
- Organize **awareness and training programs**:
- Prepare detailed **case stories** for record-keeping and reporting
- Provide **counseling** for parents and families of children with special needs
**Additional Requirements**:
- Strong communication skills in **Kannada and English**:
- Ability to travel within the region for field visits
- Compassion and commitment to improving the lives of differently-abled individuals
