Caretaker/cleaner

**Personal Requirements:

A hard-working, honest, dependable, self-motivated person to act as school caretaker/cleaner and supervisor of
school cleaning.

**Responsibilities**:

- Security
- Opening and closing, unlocking and locking of school gates and buildings
- Opening and closing the school during evening use at times arranged by the Headteacher
- Un-setting and setting the school alarm system
- Checking damage/security every morning on arrival at the premises
- Checking and securing the school premises (subsequent to out of hours intruder alarm activation)
- Overall security of the school premises including the locking of all windows, doors and gates.
Cleaning - Maintenance
Cleaning duties will include the following:

- Keep a running inventory of all cleaning supplies and submitting purchasing requests when supplies get
low
- Use cleaning supplies and equipment to keep the school looking clean and professional
- Mopping and buffing hard floor surfaces
- Buffing and maintaining flooring in school hall and swimming pool changing rooms, showers and
entrance area.
- Toilet areas, replenishment of paper towels, toilet rolls and other disposables.
- Regular checking of roofs and gutters for pooling, debris, plant growth etc.
- Regularly checking and cleaning of soffits, bargeboards and external lights
- Routinely cleaning lamp shades and light diffusers (strip lights). The height limit is eleven feet
- Check radio controlled clocks are accurate and have battery power.
- Ensure that all refuse is disposed of promptly and stored away from the main building.
Monitor proper use of external bins and recycling
- Ensuring that external rubbish is stored appropriately
- Disinfect drains and dustbins regularly
Health and Safety - Compliance
- Responsible for regular health and safety checks of buildings, grounds, fixtures and fittings, (including
compliance with fire safety regulations) and equipment
- Responsible for the regular checking and operation of systems such as heating, cooling, lighting and
security
- Undertake risk assessments, ensure compliance within the school with all health.

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
