**ob Title**: HCC Medical Coder

**Job Overview**:
The HCC Medical Coder is responsible for accurately coding patient diagnoses using the Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) model to ensure proper documentation, coding, and reimbursement. This role is essential for capturing the correct risk adjustment codes, which help healthcare organizations assess the risk levels of patient populations for insurance companies, specifically in Medicare Advantage and other risk-based reimbursement programs

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- **Education/Experience**:

- High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate's degree or higher in Health Information Management, Health Sciences, or related field is preferred.
- Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) is required.
- Specific certification in HCC coding (e.g., Certified Risk Adjustment Coder [CRC]) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in medical coding, preferably in risk adjustment and HCC coding.
- **Knowledge & Expertise**:

- Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding system and medical terminology.
- Understanding of risk adjustment models and CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) requirements.
- Familiarity with payer-specific guidelines and government programs, including Medicare Advantage.
- Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR) and coding software.

Pay: From ₹10,000.00 per month
