**Objective**

Responsible for month end closing process for cash accounting (according to Momentive s closing timetables and requirements).

**Essential Functions**
- Preparation and booking of monthly cash activities:

- Review and record daily cash postings (Vendor payments and customer receipts)
- Reconcile bank accounts and validate balance
- Record/Reconcile intercompany and 3rd party loan balances
- Ascertains compliance with Momentive s Accounting Policies & Procedures and ensure accuracy of General Ledgers
- Analyzing cash activities
- Record/Reconcile financial instruments
- Perform monthly revaluations
- Reconcile GL accounts
- Close interface with European Treasury department and various local sites
- Participating in project groups in order to optimize financial structure

**Key relationships**
- Corporate Finance (local controllers).
- Legal Department
- Treasury
- Credit Department
- Internal and external auditors

**Qualifications**
- B.Com, MBA Finance, BBA Finance
- 1-3 years experience mainly in accounting (ideally in cash accounting)
- SAP (G/L module) experience is required
- chemical industry background a plus
- Good interpersonal/problem solving skills.
- Able to handle multi-tasks simultaneously.
- Multi-Language, a plus, English required
