Laboratory Assistant

1. To assist teachers and students in conducting practicals and experiments. To prepare experiment set-up, Laboratory manuals for conducting practical.

2. To assist the Incharge of Laboratory in purchase and procurement of Laboratory materials. To maintain the dead stock register with asset code of each item, coding the assets with asset numbers.
3. To prepare requisitions for required material for lab and department. To keep the stock of stationary required for faculty and staff.
4. To maintain student records in SAP software and library of department.
5. To solve problems/ troubleshoot to PC, laptop, printers, smart-boards, network issue, wifi connectivity issue with the help of SVKM IT Helpdesk or respective vendors. Maintaining all lab PC and faculty’s PC record (mouse sr. no, keyboard sr. no, IP addresses).
6. To assist in conduction of Unit Test, assist faculty in collection and documentation of Term work and to perform supervision duties of Mid Terms/End Semester Exam.
7. To assist the Incharge of the laboratory in routine administrative matters and to ensure that the laboratory facilities are not misused by any person.

8. To report about breakages/losses in laboratory, to his superiors.

9. To supervise the work of the Laboratory Attendant allocated at the respective floors.

Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal’s (SVKM) Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering (DJSCE), was established in the year 1994. In a span of 26 years, DJSCE has come a long way and has made its impact felt not only in the country, but also abroad. **DJSCE, affiliated to the University of Mumbai is an Autonomous Institution that **runs 8 undergraduate programmes, 3 post graduate programmes and 3 Ph.D. courses. **The college has been granted autonomy by the University Grants Commission (UGC) for a period of 10 years, starting from the A.Y. 2019-20 till 2028-29.

DJSCE is also consistently rated amongst the top 100 Engineering Colleges of our country by various ranking institutions.

Students of the college, continue to bag top positions in the merit list - retaining the status of the college amongst Maharashtra’s and the country’s premier colleges. The college has been consistently rated amongst the top two colleges (often achieving first position) in the academic results at the 1st year examinations (Sem. I & II) of the University of Mumbai.
