**Job Title**: Market Research Intern
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Collection and Research
- Conduct primary and secondary research to gather relevant data on markets,
industries, competitors, and customers.
- Utilize surveys, interviews, focus groups, and other methods to gather qualitative
and quantitative data.
- Source information from online databases, government reports, white papers, and
publications.
- Survey Design and Execution
- Create, distribute, and analyze surveys to understand customer preferences and
behavior.
- Use survey tools like Google Forms, SurveyMonkey, or Qualtrics.
- Data Analysis and Interpretation
- Analyze raw data using statistical tools and methodologies to uncover patterns
and insights.
- Interpret complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Prepare detailed reports and dashboards to present research findings.
- Market and Industry Analysis
- Study market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes that may
impact business operations.
- Evaluate competitors’ strategies, strengths, and weaknesses.
- Provide insights on market size, growth potential, and customer segments.
- Report Preparation
- Develop detailed research reports, white papers, and presentations for internal
and external stakeholders.
- Summarize findings into actionable recommendations and strategic insights.
Presentation
- Prepare executive-level presentations summarizing research findings and
recommendations.
- Design visualizations such as infographics, charts, and graphs for effective
communication.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, sales, and product
development, to align research with business objectives.
- Collaborate with senior management to understand research needs and goals.
- Provide support during decision-making processes by presenting researchbacked insights.
- Monitoring and Updates
- Keep track of emerging market trends, technologies, and economic indicators.
- Regularly update databases, research findings, and market forecasts.
- Monitor competitors and provide updates on their strategies and performance
- Tool Utilization and Automation
- Use tools like Excel, SPSS, R, Python, Tableau, or Power BI for data analysis and
visualization.
- Familiarize with research platforms and tools like Bloomberg, Statista, and
Nielsen, etc
- Risk Analysis and Assessment
- Identify risks associated with market entry, product launches, or business
strategies.
- Provide recommendations to mitigate identified risks.
- Competitor Benchmarking
- Conduct benchmarking studies to evaluate the organization’s performance against
competitors.
- Highlight areas where the organization can gain a competitive edge.
- Financial Research and Analysis
- Research industry financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability,
and valuation metrics.
- Analyze company financial statements for investment or acquisition decisions.
- Provide insights into funding trends, IPOs, and mergers and acquisitions.
Continuous Learning and Development
- Stay updated on research methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.
- Attend webinars, workshops, and industry conferences to enhance skills and
knowledge.
- Develop innovative methods to improve the efficiency of research processes.
- Ethical Research Practices
- Ensure all research activities comply with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive business data.
- Avoid bias in data collection, analysis, and reporting
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in statistical tools and research methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SPSS,
Python).
- Attention to detail and ability to interpret complex datasets.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
simultaneously.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
