Previous experience within the restaurant industry is essential. A degree or certification in hospitality management, mixology, or a related field is an advantage. Alcohol service certification or responsible beverage server training is a plus.
Experience: Minimum 2 years in a similar position

The Bar Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring smooth service, and delivering an excellent customer experience. This role involves supervising the bar team, managing stock and inventory, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and ensuring all health and safety standards are followed. The Bar Supervisor is a key leader within the bar team and plays a pivotal role in providing exceptional service and maximizing the bar's profitability.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Team Supervision & Leadership**:
- Supervise and lead the bar staff, including bartenders, bar backs, and other support staff.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the team maintains high service standards.
- Organize staff schedules and ensure the bar is adequately staffed during peak times.
- Monitor staff performance, providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews as needed.
- Motivate the team to deliver a high-quality service and meet performance goals.
- **Customer Service & Experience**:
- Ensure guests receive exceptional service, addressing any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Assist in serving drinks to customers, ensuring all beverages are made to the highest standard.
- Maintain a welcoming and friendly atmosphere at the bar, engaging with customers and enhancing their experience.
- Oversee the seating arrangement and flow of service to ensure guests are served in a timely and efficient manner.
- **Bar Operations Management**:
- Oversee daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures, setting up the bar, and ensuring it remains stocked throughout service.
- Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and properly stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
- Manage the preparation of drinks, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to recipes.
- Maintain a steady flow of service during peak hours, ensuring prompt drink delivery without compromising quality.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures for drink preparation, safety, and cleanliness.
- **Inventory Control & Stock Management**:
- Manage inventory levels for liquor, mixers, garnishes, and other bar supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Conduct regular stock checks and coordinate with suppliers to order necessary items.
- Minimize waste and control costs by monitoring pour sizes, drink preparation methods, and inventory management.
- Maintain records of bar sales, purchases, and inventory transactions.
- Ensure all alcoholic beverages are stored correctly and adhere to safety regulations.
- **Health & Safety Compliance**:
- Ensure all health and safety standards are adhered to in the bar area, including food and drink safety, cleanliness, and employee safety.
- Ensure that all alcohol service complies with local laws and regulations, including checking IDs when required.
- Monitor and enforce proper alcohol consumption policies, ensuring responsible service at all times.
- Ensure the bar environment is safe for both customers and staff, including monitoring for any potential hazards.
- **Financial & Sales Management**:
- Assist in setting sales goals and implement strategies to achieve or exceed revenue targets.
- Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to increase revenue, such as upselling or introducing new promotions.
- Help manage cash handling and ensure all transactions are processed accurately.
- Track bar expenses and work to reduce costs while maintaining quality and service standards.
- **Staff Training & Development**:
- Train new bar staff on procedures, drink preparation, customer service standards, and health and safety regulations.
- Continuously evaluate team skills and provide ongoing training to improve service and product knowledge.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, motivation, and skill development within the bar team.
- **Event Coordination & Specials**:
- Help plan and organize special events or promotions at the bar, such as themed nights or happy hours.
- Assist in creating and marketing seasonal or signature drinks that align with the venue’s brand.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., restaurant or event planners) to ensure smooth execution of events.
**Skills & Qualifications**:
- Proven experience as a bartender or in a supervisory role within a bar or hospitality setting.
