3D Product Designer

Key Responsibilities

3D Product Modeling
- Design and model high-fidelity 3D representations of consumer products, especially fashion accessories, electronics, and lifestyle goods.
- Ensure precise real-world scale, clean quad-based topology, and consistent dimensions for all product components.
- Incorporate intricate product details such as buttons, engravings, stitches, seams, and surface treatmentsaccurately.

Texturing & Material Development
- Create photorealistic PBR textures (Albedo, Roughness, Metallic, Normal, AO) for diverse materials like plastic, metal, leather, glass, and fabric.
- Ensure efficient UV unwrapping and texture baking for optimized asset delivery.
- Simulate realistic surface finishes—matte, gloss, brushed metal, polished plastic, etc.—aligned with physical product references.

Rendering & Visualization
- Develop high-quality renders and animated turntables for showcasing products from all angles.
- Set up lighting using HDRI environments and three-point lighting systems to emphasize material quality and surface reflections.
- Produce renders for marketing, AR/VR platforms, and interactive web previews (GLB/GLTF-compatible).

Quality Assurance & Cross-Team Collaboration
- Maintain consistent visual quality across product lines ensuring uniformity in lighting, texture resolution, and file standards.
- Deliver assets optimized for eCommerce platforms, Augmented Reality, and product configurators.
- Work closely with Product Designers, UI/UX, and Marketing teams to align visuals with product functionality and brand aesthetics.

Required Skills & Expertise

3D Product Design Requirements
- Strong grasp of product form, ergonomics, and manufacturing logic
- Ability to replicate real-world products with hyper-realistic detailing

Texturing & Material Rendering
- Proficiency in PBR workflows and realistic material creation
- Expertise in UV layout, texture baking, and creating procedural maps
- Ability to differentiate and render material subtleties like glossiness, grain, and transparency

Visualization & Turntable Renders
- Hands-on experience with product turntable animation and 360° showcase renders
- Knowledge of camera rigging, animation loops, and studio-grade lighting setups
- Rendering expertise for fast-loading online previews (GLB, GLTF, USDZ)

Software & Tools Proficiency
- ** 3D Modeling**:Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush
- ** Texturing**:Substance Painter, Adobe Photoshop
- ** Rendering**:KeyShot, V-Ray, Arnold, Unreal Engine
- ** Formats**:FBX, OBJ, GLTF/GLB, USD, STL (if needed for prototyping)

Experience & Qualifications
- ** Education**:Degree/diploma in Product Design, 3D Design, Animation, or related field
- ** Experience**:2-5 years of industry experience with product modeling and rendering
- ** Portfolio**:Must include turntable animations, realistic product renders, and textured 3D assets
- **Domain Knowledge**:Familiarity with eCommerce display standards, 3D configurators, and product variant visualizations
