Nursing Supervisor

**A. NURSING ADMINISTRATION**
- Supervise the nursing care given to the patients in various departments by taking regular rounds of her/his area.
- Take check of all the patients’ details.
- To take regular rounds in the hospital and see the entire patient’s.
- To check all case files and see that all nurses records are completed and maintained properly
- Assist in hospital research and other activities.
- To co-ordinate and work for the smooth functioning of the hospital,
- To report daily to the Head Nursing Services
- All Documents to be maintained.
- Make sure each patient is treated well during their stay &customer satisfaction at least 90%.
- Assist Head of Nursing in all administrative jobs.
- Conduct various Audits to ensure all policies and protocols are followed.
- Ensure Ward stocks are maintained properly. Conduct monthly stock audit in all nursing areas.
- Check Duty Rota and allocation book and ensure Nurse patient Ratio is maintained.

**B. TRAINING**
- To care for central line, chemo port, PVC insertion and train the junior nurses.
- Maintain discipline among nursing personal
- Supervise, teach and train the juniors.
- Teach the hospital policy and protocols for all newly joined staff
- Attend six hours of clinical training
- Supervise the nurses for proper disposal of bio medical waste right from the generation point
- Ensure each new joiner to undergo chemotherapy workshops

**C. PATIENT CARE/PATIENT SAFETY**
- Check for chemotherapy patient—chemo-plan is written by the respective consultant. If not get it written and then only the chemotherapy has to be started
- Check for consent and check list is filled before each cycle is begun.
- Check pre-op patient for local preparation, investigation reports, consent anesthesiologist’s pre-op check and pre medication orders for completion
- Check blood before transfusion and enter in the nurses notes.
- Check peripheral IV Insertions, central lines, chemo port, catheters, drain and see that the care is given by oncology-staff-nurse.
- To attend all emergencies and very sick and major pre post op patients
- To carry out duties delegated to her /him in floors effectively

- prescriptions and administer chemotherapy, blood transfusion.
- Check the patient’s case files for completion and take necessary corrective measures.
- Counsel the patient and family members
- Take rounds with the consultant and see that the instructions are followed.
- Patient’s safety to be of utmost importance like patients side rails to be on.
- Special attention to be given to vulnerable patients & ensure one attender to be with patients
- Check personal hygiene of the patients and take necessary action

**D. QUALITY**

l To ensure utmost customer satisfaction

l To co-ordinate with other department in the treatment of patient.

l To report in writing daily activities carried out and number of case files checked and corrective measures taken.

l Ensure Feedback collection is done 100%

l Meet all patients regularly and address their concerns without fail

l Ensure call bells are attended without delay and monitor

l Ensure there is no service delay at every point of care.

l Report and record any incident to the Head of nursing Services.

l To check all case files and see that all nurses records are complete and maintained properly

l Monitor hospital infection control practices

**E. INVENTORY MANAGEMENT**

l

l Check the functioning of all equipment’s.

l To see that all stocks are used diligently and records are maintained properly.

l To ensure bio medical equipment’s are maintained properly.

l Indenting & refunding to be done carefully

l Documents evidence should be kept while transferring of equipment to other units

D. **SUPERVISION**

l Infection control practices

l Bio medical management

l I V sets & other catheters maintained properly.

l Communication and courtesy of staffs

l Patient safety audits

l Surgical safety check list

l Medication audits

**E. REPORTING**

l Daily information of day to day activities of tower

l Any incident happen in the ward

l Reports of quality indicators

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
