**Job Description: Housekeeping Assistant**

**Position Overview**: We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our veterinary healthcare clinic. The Housekeeping Assistant will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout our clinic, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for our patients, clients, and staff.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Clean and disinfect examination rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites using approved cleaning agents and protocols.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in all areas of the clinic, including waiting rooms, reception areas, and administrative offices.
- Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of medical and non-medical waste.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and floors.
- Maintain cleanliness of veterinary equipment, instruments, and tools used in patient care.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and toiletries as needed.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
- Assist with general maintenance tasks such as light repairs and upkeep of clinic facilities.
- Support compliance with health and safety regulations and veterinary practice standards.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Proven experience in housekeeping services, preferably in a healthcare or veterinary setting.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in performing cleaning tasks.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with clinic staff.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certification in infection control or healthcare cleaning practices.
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility.

**Work Environment**:

- The position may involve exposure to animal allergens, odors, and animal handling procedures.
